what can a MAC do that a PC cant ?
Well. No worry about spyware No need for a virus scan every friday No need for a anti-virus software to run in the background You get all the software you need Better interface Easier interface... and 'almost any combination of hardware, and any piece of software .... id say thats pretty impressive.' It didn't work with a LAN card i bought. its about time untill spyware & viruses appears for a mac ... am i correct ? I doubt it, if its been this secure for years. I think the developers know what they're doing when it comes to security. Look at the new safari; 8 holes have been found in the windows version for far.

being a PC user who would love to have a MAC user, I downloaded the Beta yesterday. Surprise! It doesnt work well. The install went OK (had to re-boot afterwards !). Safari seems to be trying to work and displays part of the web page but huge chunks are missing (white space). I will try again tonight but I was a tad disappointed. BTW my PC is XP and patched up to the hilt. Maybe it's me and I should just go out and buy a Mac...

Apple don't repair, they usually send out as new version. But saying that if you threw them both down the stairs you'll claim on accidental damage on your house insurance.

LOL, you know what that's kinda true, just because a mac looks nicer, i probably wouldn't be as inclined to chuck it. Maz, if you threw your PC downstairs you would be sensible, and your Mac? Well.....
Hahahaha! Maz, when you getting your macbook? well if i do get it, (kinda been having second thoughts because of the prices) then it will be when leopard comes out and my student loan has been paid into my bank account.

Price worries? If you get a decent one then, in the long run, it'll be cheap than getting a windows laptop. You tried the educational site? Or perhaps the refurbs? My lil bro got an ipod nano (4gig/refurb) and it was like new. He then broke the screen, he sent it off back to apple and they sent a new one. The refurb warranty is as good as the normal one.
